STAR PATROL PROGRAM

The STAR Program is an initiative lead by HSA to maintain safe and secure lodging facilities in densely populated hotel regions. The goal of STAR is to swiftly respond to incidents and prevent any activity that disrupts the peaceful enjoyment of the property. STAR Officers are trained to handle all issues common to the hospitality industry while maintaining the highest level of guest service. Strategically stationed in an assigned region, a STAR unit is always visible with a less than 5 minute response time. Consistent patrols and presence are proven to promote a safe environment and deter any disruptive activity.

As a member of the STAR program participants receive:

• A minimum of 4 random patrols every evening between 9PM-5AM to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing and malicious mischief.
• Unlimited calls for service (ie. noise complaints, transients, disruptive guests, eviction assistance, check the welfare, etc.)
• Detailed reports and pictures of any vandalism, theft and unusual activity for hotel management and/or insurance claims.
• Website access to GuardTrax for real time monitoring and documentation of the patrol activity via satellite imagery.

The STAR program was designed to be dynamic and affordable. A protective blanket is placed upon STAR members in an effort to eliminate activity that negatively impacts your profitability. This allows your staff the ability to enhance guest service, focus on operations and secure return reservations. Invoiced at a small fixed monthly fee STAR is an investment that pays for itself. The program cost is divided among it's members. This keeps the monthly fee to an absolute minimum and ensures the best protection possible for properties on a limited budget.

GUARD TRAX
HSA's innovative approach to security allows for "real time" monitoring of every Security Officer. With the use of GuardTrax technology HSA management has greater control of Officer performance. GuardTrax uses GPS (Global Positioning System) to acquire the location of a Security Officer on duty. The unit also gathers other important data points, including motion, time, heading, speed, etc. Then, using the GSM/GPRS wireless network, GuardTrax transmits the data to a remote server. The server will process and post the data to a GIS web-based mapping application that includes satellite imagery. If an alert is initiated (e.g. door found ajar, broken window, fire) the server will also transmit a notification via email or text message to designated HSA supervisors and/or client management.
